John LeFevre 1730

LeFevre is also spelled Ferber, LaFevre, LaFever, Lefebre, LeFever,and LeFevere. It is from the original Northern French surname Lefebvre or Lefèvre. It means smith.

Pennsylvania is one of the 13 original states and was originally founded in 1681 as a result of a royal land grant to William Penn, the son of the state's namesake.

John LeFevre was born on June 21, 1730. His parents were Abraham LeFevre and Elizabeth Ferree.

He married Anna Margaret Henning on April 14, 1755 at the First Reformed Church in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. John, and his brother, Peter, inherited a 300 acre tract from their father, Abraham which was originally purchased by their grandfather, Isaac. They divided the tract equally between them. John had the southern half adjoining Strasburg.

John died on October 18, 1810 in Strasburg, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Europeans began to settle in the Lancaster County, Pennsylvania area about 1710. It was part of Chester County until May 10, 1729.
